Rules & Regulations

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CHILDREN LEFT UNATTENDED.
1. None but members of the Society will be allowed to compete for prizes.
2. Membership fee 2008- $5.00 (allows entry on Saturday). Weekend Pass $8.00.
3. In all articles of manufacture, grain, seeds and produce, no person shall enter in the same class more than one article of each kind, which must be their own manufacture or growth.
4. All animals and articles must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor, and all vegetables to be growth of 2007.
5. The judges shall have the power to decide whether the animal or article is worthy of a prize or not, and where there is little or no competition, they are to decide what prizes they are entitled to, if any, but cannot change from one class to another.
6. ALL DOMESTIC SCIENCE EXHIBITS (Classes 25-34)  MUST BE IN THE CURLING RINK NO LATER THAN 12 NOON ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 8, 2008. JUDGING OF EXHIBITS WILL COMMENCE AT 1:00 P.M., FRIDAY, AUGUST 8.  EXHIBITS MUST NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL 5:00 P.M. ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 9.
7. Livestock exhibits must be on the ground by 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9. No animal or article may be removed without special permission, until close of the show.
8. No person shall be allowed to interfere with judges.
9. If any dispute occurs, the treasurer will hold premiums until settled.
10. Fair Board to pay prizes no later than October 25, 2008.
11. Only entries in live stock may compete for more than one prize.
12. All animals to pass vet inspection at gates.
13. Parties violating any of these rules will be subject to expulsion from the Society and forfeit all prizes they may be entitled to.
14. All animals exhibited to have suitable halters. Age to be on ticket.
15. A percentage only of prize money will be paid if directors consider the receipts insufficient to pay in full.
16. Door of hall will be closed at 5:00 p.m. sharp on the last day and only those who have exhibits will be allowed to enter the hall.
17. Only entries for listed categories will be accepted to the Culinary Arts, Homecraft, Photography and Jr. Departments, which runs from Class 25 through to Class 34
18. Each paid concession receives one pass.
19. All exhibitors must have their own Liability Insurance.
20. Members are entitled to one admission to grounds on their member’s ticket.
21. The Society will not be responsible for any accident on the track or grounds.
22. Animals not under sufficient control shall not be allowed to compete.
23. The Society reserves the right to interpret its own rules and regulations, and should any dispute or question arise not provided for in the rules and regulations, the decision of the Board of Directors will be final.
24. All exhibits shown at owner’s risk against loss or damage.
25. No exhibitor or spectator shall be allowed to show disrespect or use abusive language to any official. For violations of this the offender may be removed from the grounds.
26. No exhibitor is allowed to exhibit more than two animals per class. Horses excluded.
28. Exhibitors to bring own bedding for animals.
29. All dogs must have rabies shots and be on a leash.
30. Animal exhibits to be removed not before 5:00 p.m. Saturday night.
